- ...The bridesmaids parable may not be saying that God will say he doesn't know us if we aren't fully aware? It may just be more of a warning to stay aware? I don't know if it refers to the fall of Jerusalem or the second coming.

- That's surprising generosity and trust in the giving of the talents - a talent was worth more than I expected.

- I don't know if the view that the parable is about economic injustice/Herod Antipas is correct, but the brutal message that the king gives does fit with that.

- The fact that Jesus cares so much about people that he views what is done or not done to them as being done or not done to him is pretty wonderful. (I've focused on the negative aspects of this passage for so long that it's nice to see the good.) I have to try to avoid valourising the sheep, because I think the point is more about Jesus' association with those in need.

- The language about heaven is beautiful.
