- The NRSV version of this is actually less appealing than the NCV - jealousy and wrath in place of a strong, burning love. Having looked into this via Biblehub's commentaries and the Blue Letter Bible's notes, the word does seem to mean jealousy, although the words used are linked with both zeal and ardent love; however, Pulpit Commentary says the term implies 'ardent love, which cannot bear itself to be slighted, or the object of its affection to be injured'.

- Jerusalem will be blessed and returned to peace.

- It may seem too difficult to those alive now, but it is not too difficult for God - if nothing was too difficult for God then, surely we can trust God to do amazing things now?

- God now plans to do good to Jerusalem, to save them and make them a blessing.

- Love truth and peace.

- The promise of hope, and God's requirements - to be truthful, to be just, to not plan evil against one another - are all wonderful things. Whether this promise/prophecy applies to the church now, or could apply to the church, or whether it's already been fulfilled for Israel and therefore remains as a sign of God's love and the miracles and blessings She can do, I don't know.
