- This is a very negative view of the day of judging. But possibly this and the kind of cosmic justice mentioned elsewhere are not the same day.

- This referring to the destruction of Jerusalem? Oh, no, it's about the plague of locusts. So, yes, a different day.

- God is kind and shows mercy, does not become angry quickly and has great love, but God isn't showing those characteristics in this book. It's to offer hope He will show those characteristic if they pray, though.

- Astonishingly, when they do this God changes. I don't know if it's a possibility or what actually happened, though. God blesses them and feels sorry for them.

- God will even pay them back for the years of trouble. God is among them and does miracles for them.

- Oh, the promise of the Spirit! Prophecies and visions.

- Anyone who calls on the Lord will be saved. Possibly the overwhelming and terrible day of judgement is the destruction of Jerusalem.

- Verse 25b: 'I will pay you back for those years of trouble.'
