- Trusting in wealth and yourself: bad.

- Taking a god into captivity is pretty cool poetry.

- Moab exists outside the land? But why give her wings if you're against her?

- Cursing people for not killing is utterly bizarre and against God, one would think. I mean, there's the oppressed rising up and then there's...cursing people for not killing enough.

- This is bizarrely vengeful. So much bitterness and hatred.

- They think they're better than God, apparently. Their sin seems to be being comfortable, which, having that as a sin condemns us pretty heavily, and yet the scale of violence and brutality is so...against everything I believe God to be. But monetary comfort probably is against the Kingdom of God.

- Oh, they made fun of Israel when Israel was in danger. Then again, God, so did you, iirc.

- Pride and thinking themselves important. This is us, though. The West.

- ...Now you're crying for them, which is more like the God I know but makes NO SENSE in context.

- 'There are shouts, but not shouts of joy.'

- And then at the end God promises good things will come again. This is so odd, from the hatred and bitterness to the sorrow to the promise of good things again. It's like an abuse cycle.
